Favorite recipes while living in JapanHungarian Goulash
HUNGARIAN Goulash
2 lbs round steak, cut into 1/2 in cubes (can use chicken)
1 AC chopped onion
1 clove minced garlic
2 T flour
1/2 t salt
1/2 t pepper
1 1/2 t paprika
1/4 t dried thyme, crushed
1 bay leaf
1 can tomatoes
1 cup sour cream
Put steak, onion, garlic in crockpot. Stir in flour and mix to coat steak cubes. Add all remaining ingredients; except sour cream. Stir well. Cover; cook on low 8-10 hours (high 4-5). Add sour cream 30 minutes before serving and stir in thoroughly. Serve over hot noodles. 8 servings.
